Each Clinical Pastoral Education unit requires 400 hours. Each unit composed of seminars led by various professionals, lectures, practicum, interpersonal relationship group, assigned readings, theological reflections, book reports and verbatims. The main purpose of CPE is to assist the student to develop pastoral identity and pastoral caring skill through action, reflection, and action via ministry to persons in critical situations. ( 6 hours).

每一臨床牧關單元需時四百小時，包括由專業人士主講的專題講座，人際關係小組，專題閱讀，讀書報告和逐字報告研討等。臨床牧關教育的目標是透過服侍在危急及有需要人士的行動，反省個人及受服侍人士的反應和互動，然後將所得的新經歷和知識，再使用在下一次的服侍行動。透過這種循環不斷的行動，反省，再行動的臨床學習，發展學員的教牧形象及教牧關顧技巧。

CLINICAL PASTORAL EDUCATION III & IV ( Supervisory Training)

CPE supervisory training is conducted at an approved institution under the guidance of an approved supervisor.  The training lasts from 2 to 4 years.  The supervisor-in-training will be exposed to different models of clinical supervision, theories of human development, knowledge in human sciences and the practice of different pastoral care and counseling skills. The candidate will be required to conduct IPR groups, verbatim seminars, and provide lectures during the course of training.  The supervisor-in-training is required to conduct and organize at least one unit of CPE independently prior to application for certification as full teaching supervisor.
